In June, she went on a week long camp trip with our church young women group. It was the perfect time to get everything out of her room, clean, paint, put things together, take things apart and make it look great. Using her favorite color and a few cheerful touches, we got it done JUST in time.
We made some cute quilts for her bunk bed. One was out of her favorite colors, the others from her old favorite t-shirts. We made a double fleece blanket and a couple pillows out of scraps from the quilt fabrics.
Shan has a cute silhouette type things we LOVE to play with! But we had to complete the room before she got it. So we went out and looked for fun vinyls to put on her closet and her dresser drawers.
I had some old pin boards that were really inexpensive and flimsy. We decided to make something out of them. We cut up old jeans, got our hot glue guns and went to work! One pocket for bobby pins, one for ponytail holders!
JZ Photography is our favorite photographer. We've used them for graduations, senior pictures, family photos, and soon, for my wedding! He's pretty amazing, if I do say so myself and I'll share his pictures a lot on our blog. He took these fabulous pictures portraying my little sister and her personality. Plus, they went perfectly with her gray and blue plaid walls!
My brother, who is amazing at painting and drawing, drew this tree onto the wall and then painted it and the blossoms in the corner of her room.
